The young man shook his head to himself, his back still turned to the Vampire as he stared out to the city scape.
"A rather large piece of unpleasant news." He answered, his voice quite quiet compared to the tone it normally held.

"Life seems full of that at the moment." He sighed a little and looked at the sky, he had but a few hours before he would need to seak refuge again.
"Mind if I ask what, or is it private?"

The daemon whirled around on his heels, stepping down from the ledge to cross the roof to stand a few feet in front of the Vampire, shifting his weight onto one leg in an act of boredom.
"A good friend passed away recently." He answered, but before he knew it, he head twisted his head back to the sky once again, even as he continued. "She did a great deal for this city in the short time she was here. I suppose you could say that I didn't expect her to pass away so quickly."

"There was much hidden meaning in the sentance but he left it there, thinking of the sorrow that Cypher must feel. Even as he did so he could hear the vampires begin their slow climb up the roof access. They themselves could smell the blood of the hybrid, and the sense of an older vampire.
"We are not safe here..." he began but stopped, they would now be within earshot.

The Daemon turned his head back to the Vampire, only to let his eyes wander over to the metal scaffolding of the escape ladder, an omnious presence about them, for certain. His lips parted as if about to speak, but he regarded the night walker's own pause seconds before, and remained silent in spite of himself.

He stepped forwards, putting his hand on Cypher's shoulder and holding him from leaping away as came with instinct. He leant close as if to bite him, stopping just above his neck. "Vampires are coming up the stairs. They will attack as soon as they see us." He thought about biting him there and then and being done with it but didn't.

The closer the Vampire drew to the Daemon's pale white neck, the more he attempted to pull out of his grip, but to no avail, three hundred years of hunting was more than enough to overtake the Halfling's mere nineteen years of existance.
Cypher pulled his head back in instinct, his eyes rolled down to regard the night walker, the close quarters were more than a little awkward for the youth. Dark purple orbs strayed to the fire ladder a second time, the fast-approaching group continued to close the distance between them.
"What are you planning to do about it?" Asked the Daemon cooly, his eyes locked onto the rusted metal rails.

"Well, it's your choice, kill them or leave." He said quietly, they were not as likely to disturb an older vampire while feeding then standing there. It made him look distracted, they would underestimate him.
"There are quite a few but none are more then one hundred I would say..."

"The choice is yours, I insist." Replied the Daemon, a small mischievous smirk upon his lips, yet the awkward way in which his back bent to stay as far away from the Vampire's face as possible betrayed his expression. "You are the wisest out of you and I, after all."

"Somehow I doubt it." He whispered and waited. They came onto the roftops, standing there, a loud voice echoed out, laughing at them.
"Hey man, I think you got our guy there, wanna step back?" the young vampire called out in a mocking tone. Camisade tensed.
"Then I think that death, will be my choice." He tore away from Cypher and rushed at them at such a speed he was no more then a blur. One of the vampires cried out as a dagger slashed at his forearm, taking most of it of and spilling the dark red blood over the roof. He stood beside Cypher again, waiting for the next move.

A thin blur, black with lashings of deep purple, hacked though the air, and before the first Vampire could register what exactly it was that disturbed the peace, the wind was knocked out of him.
A hand, its fingers spread out in and arc upon his abdomen, pushed the creature back, sending him tumbling to the floor. It was only when the fallen began to roar, bellowing that he couldn't feel anything in his body, that a small cluster of the smarter Vampires had noticed that the phantom blur had vanished.
Unfortunately, they suffered the same fate as the first, tumbling to the floor upon stomachs, sides, and backs, unable to move a muscle in retaliation, and unable to see the Daemon planting his hand upon backs, heads, arms and legs of one another to bestow upon them the paralysis seal he had learned from many years before.

He smiled as he walked forwards. "I hate your kind, you go and claim whatever you wish, regardless for the secret and other vampires." He knelt down in front of the leader and smiled wickidly. "I think you need to die..." His dagger rested upon the vampire's throat but it seemed as though he would change his mind and he picked him up by the throat, holding him in the air above him.
"Perhaps you should appologise?"

Only a small handful of the flock remained upon their feet, the sounds of their comrades cursing filled the air, but soon stopped when their leader was plucked up from the ground, fingers wound about his throat as he hovered above the rooftop at the mercy of Camisade.
Cypher's legs crossed as he ground to a halt, his jacket and hair the last things to settle thanks to the endless motion he had unleashed. He remained silent, a standing spectator just like the kindred that had attempted to ambush them.

"Well?" Camisade smashed him upon a wall that supported a stairwell, leaving a large fissure behind the young vampire. He murmered something, coughing and spluttering away.
"Pardon?" Camisade looked at him menecinly, as if he would like nothing better then to throw him from the roof or to kill him there and then.
"S....orry..." Croaked the dry voice of the vampire and he was hurled across the roof to join his friends in a heap on the floor.
"If I chance upon you again then you will not be so lucky." He said cooly.
"You will pay for that...." The young vampire whispered as he turned his back and found blood pouring out of his mouth. Camisade's dagger hand found it's way into the vampire's back. The long blade reached the other side of his chest, going straight through.

The Halfling watched as his companion's dagger embedded itself into the dead flesh of the offending Vampire. Uninterested in the event, the thief slide past those who remained standing, and crossed the rooftop to stand before the small cluster whom he had immobilized just a minute before.
As if he were excluded from the tension that lingered in the air, Cypher squatted in front of the fallen group. He glanced at the sky and opened his mouth to speak. "Dawn will be arriving soon..." He mused out loud, only to recieve gasps and shouts from the kindred. But the Daemon simply turned his attention towards them, cracking a small smile. "But don't worry, you'll be able to leave before then. Those seals only last a few minutes, and once they're gone, you'll have control over your body again."
He rose up to his full height, and looked down at the ground-tied shapes. "Take care." Said the youth, and with nothing better to do, he whirled around, coat billowing behind him as he left them alone, headed back to where Camisade now stood, paint and crumbled brick crunched underfoot as he approached the stairwell, complete with a colossal crater eating into the side of it.
