Rooftops

Alya turned shaking her head she had an overwhelming urge to see her sister. She knew how upset she had been the other day and wanted to find out what had happened. She turned and headed down the fire escape to the street below

Aereon slowly and sadly stood on the rooftops. She believed that Zahira was poisoning Alya against her. She knew that Arrishe wasn't talking to Alya and Zahira.

*Zahira you are not Arrishe Manai's daughter. She told me so herself. The day she died.*

Aereon looked up at the nights sky and for the first time she produced a tear, a single tear.

Aereon gazed into the clouds, her eyes fixated on a strange star. It was the second time in 4000 years that it had appeared. Suddenly Aereon's eyes turned white, they lighted up the skys, it looked like day light.

Aereon's eyes grew brighter. "Lady Arion!"

The clouds opened up, and a woman dressed similar to Aereon but her robes pure, clean white was lowered down from the sky.

Aereon's eyes closed and the light stopped. She knelt down to the woman before her. The woman was Lady Arion, the Head of Elementals.

"You may rise Lady Aereon." Arion said regally.

Aereon rose, and bowed. "My lady."

Lady Arion put her hand on Aereon's shoulder. "What is the problem my chosen sister."

Aereon bowed her head. "Arrishe. Alya. Zahira." She said solomley.

Lady Arion took her hand from Aereon. "Aereon." She said sympatheticaly.
"Arrishe's death was a decision the council took light heartedly. Your vote to save her was over ruled. The was nothing you could do about it. You served 80,000 years in Zynotion prison for your rebelion against her death."

Aereon whispered. "Forgive me."

Lady Arion turned away from her. "You were forgiven years ago, Aereon. Her child, Alya. She was to be taken into your care, and she would of been our saviour, the cleanser of evil. But your rebelion over saw that. You were foolish!"

Lady Arion turned back to Aereon. "Now the one has come, she has found Alya Manai. And claims to be her sister. We both know that it is imposible. She had one child, and on child only. We both know who Zahira's mother is." She glared at Aereon.

Aereon turned away. "Forgive me. I didn't know, I couldn't! She was a child!"

Arion pulled at Aereon's should and spun her around to face her. "You! You had the chance to kill her! To kill the one! Zahira! When she was born. But you didn't!"

Arion mimicked Aereon's voice. "She is only a child. What harm can a child do?"
She glared at her. "NOW! Now we shall see what that child can do! She will be the end to Alya Manai! We have foreseen it! You were a fool to let her live!"

Aereon fell to her knees. "Lady Arion... Please..."

Arion shook her head. "Finish what you started Aereon! Finish it! Before she does, or I shall interveen, and last time that happened... One Manai was killed then, don't let it happen to another Manai!" She raised her arms, and was lifted into the nights sky. Her voice echoed down to Aereon. "Finish it.. Finish it.." Her voice dissapeared as did Lady Arion. The night was as if nothing had happened. But the memories in Aereon's head, foretold this night, and what shall happen if she does nothing.

She got to her feet, took a deep breath and ran off into the night.

Aereon once more found herself on the rooftops where she made council with Lady Arion.

*Lady Arion, you ticked me once with Arrishe Manai, you won't do it again with her daughter!*

She stood on the very edge of the roof. Faced the nights sky, and the bright white light appeared from her eyes again. "Lady Aregion! I seek your council!"

The clouds parted and once more, an Elemental head of council slowly landed on the rooftops beside Aereon.

Lady Aregion looked at the strange surroundings. "Lady Aereon? What have you done! You have called me! You know that Lady Arion is the once to seek council with when you aid Earth!"

Aereon breathed deeply. "Arion."

Lady Aeregion glared at her. "Lady Arion to you!"

Aereon corrected herself. "Lady Arion! She is no more a lady than you or I!"

Lady Aredion sighed. "Aereon, it was 20 long year ago. Lady Arion killed Arion for the good of Elementals!"

Aereon looked shocked at her old friend. "I thought you backed me in my rebellion for Arrishe's death, she didn't have to die! Now Alya will die! Because the evil of Zahira will kill her! She claims to be Alya Manai's sister!"

Aeregion took a step back, and sighed. "Aereon... She... Is... Alya Manai's sister. I'm sorry..." Aeregion looked at the sky and then looked around her. "Arion knows that she is Alya's sister. She has always known. She just wants you to kill her." Aeregion took a step back. "She wanted Zahira out of the way, Zahira and Alya's sisterhood of love, is the only thing that can over rule the Elemental council and... and... Kill Arion."

Aereon shook her head. "Again... Again... She lied to me again! Alya? Zahira? Sisters? I saw Zahira being born from another being, not Arrishe. Arrishe told me so herself."

Aregion comforted her old friend. "No my dearest freind, no. Arrishe only told you what Arion made her say, she was tortured into it. You were her closest friend Aereon, Arrishe loved you for it."

Aereon turned away from her friend. "Go."

Aeregion shook her head. "Aereon?"

Aereon turned to her. "GO!"

Aeregion faced the sky, the light came, as she returned to the night sky, she voiced. "Aereon, be carefull my old friend." She disapeared into the light.

Aereon fell to the floor, and for the first time, she cried.

Alya had spotted somethig strange on the rooftop above and ran up a fire escape. Getting to the rooftop she saw Aereon on her knees crying and her kind heart taking over she ran to the upset woman

"Aereon! What is it? What has happned?!"

[aereon]

Aereon swang her arms at Alya. "No! No Alya!"

She began to get more upset. "She lied to me! How can you ever forgive me! Don't forgive me! For i have been decieved, and tricked. Her trickery is immense. That cunniving witch!"

She turned to Alya. "I'm so sorry."

Alya threw herself down on the floor beside the woman and wrapped her arms around her

"Aereon? Who? What are you talking about?"

[aereon]

Aereon gazed at Alya in the eyes. "Zahira is your sister.... " She whispered.

She closed her eyes. "LAdy Arion.. She is the Head of my people. She is the one that banished your mother to die. She is the one that locked me up for 80,000 years. She is the one who sent me to kill your sister, before she killed you."

Alya shook her head trying to understand.

"Wait so this Lady Arion killed my mother lied to you and wanted you to kill Zahira? but why?"

[aereon]

Aereon wiped her eyes. "It is a long story my dear. Please forgive me, i was under false pretenses." She looked at the sky as it turned red. "I will get you Arion! And when I do! The Elemental Council shall fall!"

Alya still confused simply released her arms from around the woman as she spoke and stood up again.

"I tried to tell you Zahira was my sister and that you must be wrong!"

Aereon looked at Alya, yes all red. "Forgive me?"

Alya looked at her and frowned

"Its not me who you need to get to forgive you! I didnt believe you in the first place so it doesnt really matter what I think"

Aereon looked at the floor. "Zahira."

Alya nodded

"Exactly! but why would this Lady Arion want her dead anyway? Why would she want to hurt me in such a way?"
