Rooftops

Alya nodded and frowned standing up and looking around her. Something was telling her Lee was close by but she couldnt see anything. She scanned the nearby rooftops and something caught her eye. She wrapped an arm around Scully's waist and looked at her.

"Trust me ok?" before the agent had a chance to reply she had walked off the edge of the roof with her Scully screaming as they fell. After a secind or two of freefall the pair vanished and reappeard on top of another roof top. Alya smield and set Scully down on the rooftop before walking over to Lee.

"Lee are you ok?!" she asked him softly touching his shoulder

Scully a bit shell shocked flushed her eyes. "They didn't train us for this at the academy."

Alya looked back at her and smiled

"Doesn't surprise me there aren't many can do that, hell there aren't many like me unless you count my sis but she aint as powerful as me...........yet" she looked back at Lee.

Lee looked at Alya is eyes bloodshot.
"I want to sleep." He said very quietly before looking back down at his M4.

[scully]

Scully took a deep breath. "So... How are there so many... different species in this city? And not any where else in the world."

Alya knelt and stroked Lee's hair tenderly while she looked up at Scully. She wondered to herslef while speaking to the woman if she could gove Lee some sort of magic induced sleep she might be able to stop whatever was keeeping him from sleeping plagueing him then

"I dunno I guess some of us come here because it is safe for us, others come because they are drawn here and the rest were turned here! Personally I thought I was human its only since I came to this city and found out about my mother and what I am that my powers manifested themselves. Now I want an honest answer from you. Why are you here?"

Scully sighed. "On a job." She looked towards Lee and remembered her boss. *Shit!*

"Hey, it's nice to meet you all, and thanks for the face thing. But I have to go." She turned to go.

*I hope they don't sense anything.* She dropped her bag and the transciever fell out.

"Shit." She knelt down to pick it up, she poped it into the pocket and got back up.

Lee looked at Alya and smiled.
"It's hard being a human here." He said admittingly

"You ok now?"

Alya narrowed her eyes at Scully then simply nodded before turning back to Lee.

"Yeah I would guess it is huni!" she looked down at him and sighed.

"Im ok I guess, ill survive! YOu really should get some sleep whats stopping you Lee?"

"I keep seeing that claw and I hear a weird howl." He shook slightly.

"I be alright though when I get up." He said quietly.

Alya shook her head.

"You look like shit Lee I don't think you shoudl go anywhere except to bed!" she knew and understood what he was saying and she looked at him.

"Maybe I can help?" she asked although she wasnt sure how

[scully]

Scully picked up the radio. It began to make a static noise.

"Scully... Scul... Come in... We have found a match on your Corbec man..." The voice was fading.

"Not now sir." Scully whispered into the radio.

She looked around for somewhere she could get off the rooftops.

Alya ears pricked and she looked around sharply looking at Tanya then looking back at Lee she didnt think Tanya knew she had heard so she just kept looking and fussing with Lee

"Thanks." He said with very little emotion.
"I can help myself." He said hoping she would realise he has very little pride left.

[scully]

The voice got louder. "Scully! We have a match on Corbec, Lee. Scully! Are you there!" The voice grew clear.

Scully pressed the radio to her chest. "I'm going." She said to Alya and Lee.

*Keeping walking Scully. Lee wont notice a thing.*
