Rooftops

[Skawn]

Skawn sighed.
"It's always my problem, isn't it?"
Skawn stepped slowly towards Cypher, his long black coat catching the breeze as it tugged playfully upwards.

[Cypher]

Cypher continued to stare out to the city, his eyes glazed over as if in a trance and a thin smile on his lips.
"You shouldn't be speaking to me, you know." The thief commented, still maintaining his fixated stare.

[Skawn]

"Why? The whole 'rival' thing?"
Skawn took out a pair of woollen gloves and slipped his hands into them. He stared out across the city, a surprising ammount of it could be seen from the spire.

[Cypher]

Cypher gave a small nod in reply as his eyes remained transfixed on the modern age building in front of them, the wind catching the leather panels of his coat and gently rippling them under their force.

[Skawn]

"Fine." said Skawn, sourly.
"I was just checking you're okay. So weird things have happenend recently..."
Skawn walked to the edge of the tower, and turned his head back to Cypher.
"You are okay, aren't you?"

[Cypher]

"Yes, I am fine." He replied calmly, his hair ruffling in the breeze and tickling his faced as it danced around in the air.

[Skawn]

"Good." said Skawn, and stepped off the edge of the tower.

[Cypher]

The Daemon blinked, ridding his eyes of the glossy sheen the blanketed them as he pulled himself back into reality. The thief narrowed his eyes in thought as he examined the building intently.
*Not much of a rival, is he?*

With the question in mind Cypher released his grip of the iron cross, sliding down the steeple and landing softy on the ground with both feet. Standing up to his full height the young man began to walk out of the church grounds to visit other parts of the grand city.

[Shadow Chain]

Shadow hits the roof with a thud, landing and hitting on his side. He gets to his knees releasing a great howl of pain as his back slowly heals itself. Tapping one of his tatoos on his arm his veins glow with a bright blue light. Now fully healed he sets of running over the rooftops in search of prey.

[Skawn]

Skawn rose slowly from the shadows, and stood quietly gazing at the city below him. He felt as though he could stand there all night, but he had a lot of people to see. He returned to the shadows.

[Cypher]

Cypher slowly slid down the segmented wall of the modernised building until he sat on the roof, tilting his head up to face the sky. A sigh escaped from his lips as he inspected the clouds that passed by.

*Peaceful...*

[Cypher]

After spending a good quarter of an hour staring blankly into the night sky, Cypher leaned his head against the wall as he began to hum a familiar tune quietly to himself, but soon after the young man found himself dissonantly singing into the silence.

"Silent black, the dawn, and time tell its tale
Darkened blood, it flows, the forest receives..." The Demon lowered his head to look down at the bustling city nightlife below him, the roads crawling with vehicles and polluting the once clear air.

"Look within the dark as deep as you dare
There inside you find destruction you seek..."

[lucio]

Lucio leeps up from a fire escape and lands gracefully on the rooftops. She walks casually to the opposite edge of the flat roof and stands looking down at the busy street below.

She pulls out her iPod and presses play allowing herself to skip through a few songs until she stops and allows the song to play.

She unconceouisly nods her head in time to the heavy metal that fills her ears.

"People eqauls shit..." she muses still looking at the street below.

[Cypher]

In a natural reflex Cypher rested his head against the cold stone wall of the building, raising a limp arm up to the sky as if motioning to somebody to look.

"I call out these prayers to the sky, heavy with thought, see your face..." Dark orbs reflected the astral light given to them by the stars that they gazed upon, yet the young man's voice remained in its regular tone, as if there were no other emotion he could breathe into it.

"I carry these memories inside, thoughts of a soul colored by love..."

[lucio]

Lucio frowns as the iPod in her pocket selects the next track.

*Gwen Steffani? Couldn't be more different from Slipknot, but ah well...*

She strides away from the edge of the building and jumps elegantly onto the next roof top. She strides across that rooftop and drops so she sits on the edge of the building, once more looks down on the busy street below her.
