Cypher dropped his hand back to his side, before he turned his attention to the moonlit cityscape below. He mumbled a small 'hmph' to himself before he made his way back to Scully. "How are you feeling, now?" He asked as he returned to his place.

"Feeling better. Still hurts a bit though. But thats just life."

Lee climbed up the ladder and shot near Cypher. "She's not there, where is she?" He raised his M4.
"Don't make a mistake the next time."

Scully lifted her gun. "Hey! Leave him. Go look yourself." She comanded Lee. "I feel like shit since you appeared."

Cypher's hand shot out infront of him the moment the gunshout rattled through the air. The daemon grasped the bullet in his hand, and dropped it to the floor with a soft clang. "The lake." He replied. "I'm sorry, but she moves very quickly, and be careful."

He threw rope around a steal pipe and rappeled down. Lee quickly cut the rope and ran towards the lake.

Scully lowered her gun and placed it next to her. "Nothing ever good comes from guns." She sighed.

Cypher watched as Lee scaled down the face of the building, and then turned to his hand, squeezing it into a fist and pulling it back straight. The bullet had only singed his glove slightly, thanks to his catch, and that was far better than endangering an injured individual.
The daemon nodded in harmony with Scully's comment. "He simply cares, is all."

"So... My friend. If you don't mind me prying? What are you? Your not human are you?"

Cypher turned his head to Scully and gave her an innocent smile. "Not entirely, no." He replied as he dropped his hand back to his side. "I'm only half human, and half daemon, as well." He regarded the fact that the entire city was no longer fuelled by the electricity that one coursed through it. "But I'm not evil, if that is what you are thinking."

"If a man saves me from certain death, then I decide that he is not evil." She gave him a smile.

Cypher nodded. "Thank you for the benefit of the doubt, then." The daemon sat down again, and with one leg drawn up, and his wrist propped against it, he looked out to the pitch black city with a sigh. "I wish it were as peaceful again as it was when I arrived here." The thief thought out loud.

"Peace? There will never be peace. Not as long as there is rich and poor. Strong and weak."

Cypher nodded mutely at Scully's brief revelation, and sadly admitted to himself that she was, indeed, right. "As long as there are devils and angels; humans and vampires, and any other living, breathing, opinionated beings on this earth, there will always be suffering ." The daemon leaned his head against the wall behind me, his eyes tilted up to the moon. "It makes me wonder, really."

Scully nodded in agreement. "Woah. Back it up there! Vampires!?"
