Exerting great caution, Cypher slid his soft eyes shut, before cracking them open in a slow blink as he turned to directly face the Were-creature. The daemon bowed his head politely in the direction of the woman, before returning to his full height. "Likewise." He replied, his calm voice rippled through the icy night air to reach the young woman across the rooftop.

Raine smiled and walked to the edge of the rooftop and closing the distance between her and Cypher. She looked down.
"Well at least i didnt kill him!" she smiled and looked up at Cypher.
"I'm sorry I know met me before but your name evades me!"

Cypher's eyes strayed downward once again. Chances were, that the blood that was still held within the man's body would not be enough to sustain consciousness, but upon closer inspection, the daemon became aware that the stranger may just survive his encounter. The youth fixed his gaze back onto the young woman, before giving another slow blink. "Cypher." He answered in a smooth voice, the young man still a little hesitant to be so close to Raine.

Raine nodded sensing his reluctance to be any closer to her she smiled.
"Cypher thats it!" she nodded again and took a step forward closing the distance further.
"Tell me Cypher why are you up here on a rooftop alone?"

The daemon turned his eyes out to look over the cityscape, lit by neon signs and street lights that lined the main roads for drivers and passers by alike. "I enjoy a little climbing every now and then." Answered the youth, his eyes focused on a particular row of lights a few streets away from where he now stood. Slowly his eyes slid back to Raine. "Is that a crime?"

Raine cocked her head to one side and listened to him. She laughed when he asked if it was a crime.
"No not at all, I'm just naturally nosy!" she smiled.
"It seems to me the rooftops are the only safe place in this city!" she looked him over
"Do I make you nervous Cypher?"

The young thief tilted his head upward ever-so-slighty, the depths of his eyes glinted with the pale light of the moon. "Forgive me, but cautiousness is second nature to one such as I." The halfling answered in his gentle, almost monotonous voice. Soft locks of hair bounced, flicked, and tickled his pale face as he gave a small shake of his head along with his answer. "In any case, I am acting in a perfectly normal manner to myself. I can only aplogize if I give such a negative impression to you."

Raine smiled and nodded
"It is fine, the one thing I dislike about what I am it makes those sensitive to that fact nervous of me I am pleased that is not so with you!" she smiled
"I assume you do know at least in part what I am?!"

Cypher nodded mutely in reply. The chilled breeze of the night air whilstled over the roof tops to tug playfully at the daemon's soft hair and trench coat before it lost its interest, and died away once more.
"A were-being. Am I correct?" Cypher asked softly, careful not to tread too strongly about the matter.

Raine simply nodded no longer smiling she looked out over the city the night full of its light and sounds.
"That is correct!" she looked keenly across the skyline
"I am a hunter, a predator, a cold blooded killer, I am highly disciplined and good at what I do! ....................and still this city frightens me!"

Cypher could only watch in silence as Raine confessed her fear of the city unto him. Soon the youth followed suit, and cast his own eyes over the city's skyline. "I cannot blame you for feeling so strongly." He paused, slowly blinked, and continued. "This place, it is definitely different from anywhere else. The high concentration of supernatural beings here is proof enough." The halfling neatly folded his arms over his lightly muscled chest. "There is nothing wrong with fearing such a clearly terrifying concept."

Raine turned and regarded him woith serious eyes then she smiled at him. It softened her face completely making her not only look younger but also extremely pretty.
"There are those who would disagree with you Cypher but thank you for not regarding me as a fool for my fear!"

The daemon's eyes softened slightly, emitting a more effeminate appearance than before. "It is quite alright." Cypher replied with a slight smile upon his lips. "Instinct is nothing to fear."

Raine smiled and settled her self down so she was sitting on the rooftop ledge her legs dangling over into nothingness.
"So how long have you been here Cypher?"

"Just over half a year." Replied the daemon, his eyes still focused blankly upon the city before him. "It's certainly gone by quickly..."
