A . L . I . C . E studied the young man.
"Yes. You can." He voice sounded human.
She entered the house and entered the room where there was another man.
"My name is A . L . I . C . E." She said it as in the name form, Alice.
"Can either of you tell me if there is a doctor or a scientist here?"

With a weighty shove, the Halfling was able to push the door shut with a clack of the useless ex-lock, before he turned his attention to the stranger, floorboards groaned underfoot as he swiftly passed her to stand in the heart of what was once the living room.
"That depends on what you mean by 'doctor'." Answered the thief, his voice polite as he regarded the woman with deep amethyst eyes.

A . L . I . C . E looked at him and sat down on the rickety old chair.
She raised her hands to her head and twisted her scalp slightly. The top of her head slid off showing a highly complicated computer.
"I need someone to finish what he started." The computer flashed all different colour lights, the silver interior shone clean.
She slid her scalp lid back on.

"A doctor..." He laughed at the though of one living here. He closed his green eyes and listened to the conversation. He opened them but found it almost impossible to see with the light..

The Daemon stood on the tips of his toes to glance at the interior of the woman's skull, lights reflected in his eyes until they were hidden once again from view, shielded from dust that hovered in the air.
"I'm afraid that I can't help you, not with something so advanced." He replied in a dull tone, his head shook as he spoke. He only had skill with security devices, things of that nature, any interference from his would only result in a change for the worst. "It's out of my depth."

The woman nodded with a smile.
"I am an A . L . I . C . E" She said showing the meaning straight after.
"Artificial Lifeform Intelligence Co-Operations Enterprise"
She wiped a small water ball from her eye, a tear. He emotions were working but not as a humans.
"My creator was trying to make me human, he succeded, but he died before he could complete me."

He looked on at the 'woman' sitting in the room a little way from himself. He could not bare the gleam and closed his eyes again, fighting with his vampire instinct to just close his eyes and loose conciousness.

The Daemon remained silent, his mind being given far too much information to comprehend in such a small amount of time, no doubt taken aback by the woman's words, if only a little.
"I see..." He reflected, his words quiet, spoken more to himself than anyone else that stood in the room. But before he could ponder on the matter any further, the half breed shook the trance away, and slowly approached the sitting figure. "I must admit, I've seen and heard of a great deal of things beyond the norm, but this is the first time I've encountered someone such as yourself."
Without another word, the young man held out a hand to the woman, unsure if she knew of the gesture, yet he continued to hold it out, if only out of habit.
"My name is Cypher. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Alice."

Alice took his hand and shook it slightly. She smiled at him.
"I must be going. Cypher. I have to find someone to finish my process."
With that she left.

Camisade looked after the woman with wonder. "Well, that was odd to say the least." He laughed gently and looked at Cypher. "Not what I was expecting at least." He lent back more comfortably against the wall, in the darkest corner avoiding even opening his eyes in the bright afternoon sun that glimmered through.

The deep growl of strained wood cried out underfoot as the nimble thief crossed the dust smothered floorboards to watch as the man-made machine began to shrink the further they traveled down the street, before disappearing safely behind a corner to escape the thief's view. Cypher's eyes remained locked to the open street, and before long, he was gently tugging at the door to open it further, and stepping out into the sunlight where his vampire companion could not tread in fear of death.
The daemon twisted his head back, a hand still wound about the edge of the door even as he regarded the dark shape that lingered silently in the safety of the shadows inside the run down building. "Business calls, I'm afraid." Said the young man with a gentle sigh, his explanation plain to the vampire, but never was it explained, for before any other words could be used, the door was slowly closed with an unhealthy click and clatter of the shattered lock that once prevented entry into the house.
A hand strayed up to its opposite shoulder, and after absently brushing the airborne dust from his leather, his thick and heavy armor, he beat his hands against his legs, freeing the jacket from the stranglehold that the grime had upon it, before he began to mimic the movements of the android, pacing reservedly down the street with a slow and steady beat of footsteps.

He watched the young man leave and returned to his sleep, closing his eyes to all of the light that surrounded him. A dying need woke him as soon as the sun had become little more then a glow on the horizon and he arose swiftly, pulling out a spare pair of sunglasses, brushing himself off and walking out of the door.
He followed the old path down into the slums and further away to the heart of the city, his hunger driving him so that he was little more then a machine, searching for warm blooded prey.
