Once the home of a small family, this small two-floored building is now barren of all life. Furniture still sits in the rooms, but dust covers every nook and cranny it can touch, and the interior has not seen the light of day for almost a year.

With a sharp kick to what was left of the red and rusted lock, the wooden door that once held them back reluctantly opened with a creak. Pale beams of sunlight flooded through door, possibly for the first time in months or maybe years, as Cypher quickly tugged the Vampire into the building, shoving the door shut with the aid of his foot to block out the foul sun.
Convinced that all was quiet in the building, the Halfling lifted the leather jacket that had hidden the Night Walker from the daybreak from his head, holding it in his hand as he gripped Camisade's shoulder to inspect the wound he had been dealt.
"Come, now. Away from the door." Said the Daemon, tugging the Vampire into the center of the room.

"Thank you kind sir, I would have died if not for this favour." He bowed graciously as he entered the middle of the room, avoiding any streaks of light that lay across the floor. He examined the wound in his chest, normal bullet it seemed, nothing to worry about.
He took off his jacket as if to keep it from more blood and put pressure on the wound, testing to see how far int he bullet was. He noticed a sore spot on his arm and looked down at the tender skin that had met the sunlight when they had jumped. It seemed dark, almost human coloured now, but still, pale to them.

The Halfling merely watched as a spectator whilst the Vampire challenged the puncture that buried itself into his chest, but deep purple eyes soon followed the Night Walker's down as they inspected the burn in silence.
"That was from before, wasn't it?" Asked the thief calmly, a thin finger pointed casually at the result of the sun touching the vampirical creature.

He nodded slightly. "That daywalker, he can't understand what a limit he has breached." He laughed gently. "I would that I could do that. To see the light without fear" He smiled at the thought, no longer condemned to the dark, to travel as he wished.

"I suppose it has some drawbacks..." Reflected the daemonic thief, now crouching upon a single knee in front of the Vampire, his head titled left and right to examine the room that the pair now inhabited. A miserable little place, so it seemed.

"Hmm, eternity is not as appealing from this side." He smiled but remebered the blood. "How are you? You were rather drained before." He felt a little guilt at the fact he had taken his blood but he wondered at the taste. This man, was more then human.

"I've felt better." Confessed the Daemon, turning his eyes' attention to the Vampire as he knelt peacefully upon the dusty wooden floorboards. "But it could have been far worse."

"Hmmm." He decided he would need to remove the bullet and opened his shirt a little so he could get in without causing more damage. He closed his eyes as he poised his fingers on the surface of the wound before thrusting in deeply. The blood flow started anew and it soak down his hand and arm as he pushed further in to retrieve the alien object. His fingers clasped about the bullet and he pulled back over. He looked at his hand and saw the bloodied thing clasped between his long, perfectly manacured nails.
"Well, at least it didn't hit too much." He smiled a little. "This should heal up in a little while." He lanced at his ruined shirt."Shame about that though... ah well."

"Better to have a ruined suit than an incinerated body." The thief retorted calmly, as though it were to assure that Vampire that all would be well at the end of his predicament. The floorboards creaked with every shift of weight Cypher made whilst we leaned forward to examine the lead projectile that that buried itself into the Night Walker.

"Of course. Rather deceitful that day-walker." He laughed gently to himself. "Last bullet indeed, and I ought to have known better." He thought about scolding himself but remembered he was in company.
"I apologize if I ramble rather, I am not in the habit of socialising much anymore." He smiled at the young man knowingly before placing the bullet down upon a small table.

He simply nodded in response to the youthful Vampire's comment. He worked alongside a small number of those quite like the day walker, and he remember quite vividly how much he couldn't stand their lack of honour.
But he was soon torn away from his thoughts, and flickered a small smile in the direction of the Vampire.
"I can gather." He answered, rising from his crouch to meet with the creature face-to-face. He cocked his head to the side, his eyes widened innocently before he even opened his mouth to speak "Do you normally bite the first person you see?"

he laughed at the abruptness. "No, but you had seen me, I was hoping to pass unnoticed. Usually I would take someone who was looking for death, but as you can guess there are very few in that forest." He pushed his hair back and fastened up his shirt properly, picking up his jacket and putting it about his shoulders.
"It was rather cold of me, I apologize. There is something..." He stopped, forgetting that he had intended to say this to himself. He really needed to get used to company.

"Hm?" The head of the Daemon stood centre to his body as the last words of the Vampire floated through the dusty air. He was certain that it was not a figment of his own imagination. "What is it?" He asked, confused and eager to hear the rest of the sentence.

*Damn it, they don't want to know about how their blood tastes...* He stopped himself from sighing at his own stupidity. "There is something different about you, it surprises me that you are not followed by vampires regularly. Even now I can sense it." He moved his long dark hair from his face, pushing it to his back so that it would get in the way. Regardless of what he did to it it was long by the next day.
